Pahoua Lor, Attorney
Pahoua was born in Iowa, but was raised in Fresno, California. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She earned her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law.
Prior to attending law school, Pahoua worked for attorneys in the Sacramento and Fresno areas. During law school, Pahoua interned with Central California Legal Services advocating for domestic violence victims. In 2007, she was the recipient of the Champions of Justice award.
Pahoua is a member of the State of California Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts. Pahoua also serves as a Board of Director for Tenants Together and Central California Legal Services. She is also an active member of the Central California Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Pahoua is dedicated to protecting and defending her clients with care and compassion. She believes in empowering others through education and information about their legal rights.
Chong Xiong, Office Manager/Legal Assistant
Chong enjoys working at the office, because it allows him to help people. Chong comes from a big family and he has nine siblings. During his free time, he enjoys traveling and meeting new people. Chong’s grandfather taught him to play the Hmong flute “qeej” at an early age, and he enjoys learning about Hmong traditions and more about the culture.
Jame Thao, Legal Assistant
Jame started working for Ms. Lor in 2015. Prior to working at the law office, Jame owned and operated his own business. Jame enjoys spending time with his wife and their three boys. He likes jogging, fishing and hanging out with family and friends in his spare time.
Melony Yang, Legal Assistant
Melony obtained her Pharmacy Technician license in 2013, but started working with Ms. Lor and fell in love with the law. Melony enjoys her job because she gets to help people through some of their most difficult times. When Melony is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and working on scrapbooks.
Vicky Xiong, Legal Assistant
Prior to working at the office, Vicky was in the restaurant business for four years and is currently in school. Vicky is a hard worker and she takes pride in helping clients. She enjoys going on adventures with her family, exploring the outdoors and is a major foodie.
